As a Senior Thermodynamics Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of heat transfer engineering solutions. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MFT’s growth and innovation.



What You’ll Do

  • Actively lead and / or participate in project teams focused on New Product Development, Continuous Product Improvement, or Feature Innovation.

  • Lead or support project plan development including scope, schedule, and resource allocation in support of enterprise priority goals and objectives.

  • Lead or participate in the development, testing, validation, and application of thermal transfer systems for MFTA products, using applicable thermodynamic theoretical and empirical techniques.

  • Lead problem solving activities using 8D methodology to identify root cause of issues and oversee development/implementation of a corrective action plan.

  • Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions for thermodynamic and heat-transfer systems, structures, products, or processes.

  • Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and tools.

  • Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of heat transfer products, insulation systems, heat rejection devices for fluids, electronics, or appliances.

  • Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications of existing product lines.

  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements, industry trends, and technological innovations conduction heating/cooling, convective heating/cooling, and radiative heating systems.

  • Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, workshops, and conferences.

Skills/Experience We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and concepts as they relate to theoretical and empirical application of heat transfer systems and thermodynamics.

  • Leader in successful development of thermal systems application as part of a residential or commercial appliance (Toasting & Holding a plus)

  • Proficiency in CAD software or other engineering tools and applications

  • Knowledge of 8D or DMAIC problem solving principles and application.

  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing, automation, assembly, and serviceability.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.





Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's in Engineering or a related field

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role

Target Annualized Compensation: $110K - $130K
