Maintenance Mechanic II

Randstad Staffing has partnered with a national Industrial Packaging manufacturing company in Rock Island, IL in hiring for their Direct-Hire Industrial Maintenance Mechanic positions! 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM / Monday to Friday 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM / Monday to Friday Pay: $27-30 per hour (based on experience) 2nd Shift offers a $1 per hour shift differential Type: Direct-Hire / Full-Time Employment Preferred Skills:

• Experience within the corrugated industry.
• Experience with operational excellence or continuous improvement programs (Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen Events)

Required Education, Experience and Skills: • High School diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution. • 3+ years of experience as a maintenance tech/mechanic in manufacturing environment. • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting complex equipment issues. •Solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. • Understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. • Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failures and downtime.

• Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history.

• Train and mentor junior technicians as needed.

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
