Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Decatur, IL 62526 (Central Illinois nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Level II Trauma Center
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 09/02/2025 – End: 12/02/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour days (06:00 – 18:30), 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1890 - $1940
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (IMC), 20 beds, 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Royal blue
• Parking: Free with permit

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Current and active Illinois RN license (required at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, IMC, or acute care nursing
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA or Red Cross only)
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and rapid response team participation
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred
• Ability to float within scope to ICU or other hospital units as needed
• Weekend shifts required as scheduled
• Completion of compliance and orientation requirements prior to start date

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, renal, and respiratory conditions in the Cardiac Stepdown (IMC) unit
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, perform 12-lead EKGs, and care for pre/post cardiac cath/intervention patients
• Administer IV therapies, manage arterial lines, blood product administration, and central/PICC line care
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, administer emergency medications, and manage ventilated patients
• Assist with respiratory therapies (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, suctioning, ventilator management)
• Participate in infection prevention, isolation protocols, and code blue/rapid response events
• Float to ICU or other acute care units as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, and pharmacy
