Job Description – Brand Manager, BSN

The Brand Manager, Sports Nutrition in this GM model is responsible for the development of annual brand plans/strategy and full P&L ownership. The Brand Manager is also responsible for continuously monitoring brand performance, integrated business planning, P&L, as well as leading, developing, and executing brand building and marketing plans. Successful applicants should demonstrate business ownership, curiosity for consumer insights, trends, and analytics.


As the Brand Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Full P&L ownership and delivery inclusive of IBP, monthly reporting, trade management, etc.
  • Oversee brand marketing budget to ensure key ATL/BTL initiatives are sufficiently supported and deliver against marketing objectives while driving spending efficiencies to maximize working dollars.
  • Monitor brand, competitive and category performance with syndicated data
  • Develop and implement annual brand plans
  • In partnership with centers of excellence, develop and launch innovation
  • Analyze market trends and recommend changes/optimization to brand strategies based on analysis and feedback
  • Maximize revenue and profitability of assigned groups
  • Navigate risks and opportunities to annual plans
  • Own the strategy and briefing process for new marketing initiatives
  • Oversee storytelling and communication of the brand’s overall brand equity strategy and activation plans both for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures Legal approval of all documents, contracts and materials that touch external stakeholders
  • Champion best in class creative development and execution to drive ownable differentiation and breakthrough in the marketplace, leading to YoY improvements in brand equity drivers.
  • Champion a mindset of test and learn to continually enhance and evolve activation and marketing plans across the funnel.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred and 5+ years of experience in CPG
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to persuade audiences (internal and external key stakeholders)
  • P&L/budget management experienc
  • Advanced MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Teams

The salary range for an Illinois based candidate is 110,000 - 150,000 plus an annual bonus. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
