At our Franklin Park facility, we’re seeking a specialist who can turn precision adjustments into measurable gains—less waste, tighter quality, higher efficiency, stronger utilization. If you take pride in solving mechanical challenges and coaching others, this is your next move.

Your impact

Picture this: mid-run, a variation appears. You identify the defect, isolate the root cause, and fine-tune the machine to bring output back into spec. You document the shift—crewing time, machine time, production quantities—so the next operator inherits a stable, well-communicated process. Along the way, you share insights that help less experienced teammates grow.

Schedule

12-hour rotating shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with every other weekend off.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and thermoforming equipment to meet or exceed standards for waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make targeted adjustments to correct machine-related problems.
• Conduct routine inspections, recognize defects quickly, and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute practical, innovative solutions to production issues.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced personnel.
• Uphold housekeeping, follow standard work, and adhere to all safety guidelines.
• Complete accurate end-of-shift paperwork covering crewing time, machine time, and production totals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator in a manufacturing setting; thermoforming experience valued.
• Ability and commitment to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including every other weekend.
• Consistent punctuality—arrive before shift start ready to run.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting on extrusion machinery.
• Clear written and verbal communication; diligent, timely recordkeeping at the prescribed frequency.
• Analytical thinking and math proficiency.
• Capability to perform quality checks and use production measurement tools; familiarity with product quality standards.
• Comfort wearing required PPE: hairnets, beard-nets, steel-toed shoes/boots, ear protection, and bump caps.
• Manual dexterity.
