**Job Title: Polisher/Grinder**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Polisher/Grinder who has demonstrated expertise in grinding and polishing thin stainless steel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for grinding down parts and applying a polished finish, primarily using stainless steel materials. Experience working with stainless steel is a significant advantage.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform grinding and polishing tasks on stainless steel parts using hand grinders and polishers.
+ Use various hand tools and micrometers to finish welds.
+ Assist welders with cutting materials or operating a shear press during downtime.
+ Lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing or moving throughout the workday.
+ Collaborate closely with welders to ensure quality finish on welds.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 6 months experience in grinding, sanding, or polishing using a handheld mini disk grinder or pneumatic air tools.
+ Experience in polishing stainless steel parts and grinding down welds.
+ Proficiency in using hand grinders, polishers, and micrometers.
+ Ability to interpret blueprints and perform deburring.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with surface grinders and fabrication.
+ Capability in blending and hand polishing techniques.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a temperature-controlled shop floor divided into sections including welding, fabrication, machining, quality, and inspection departments. Employees work within their own cell, adjacent to welding and fabrication teams, focusing on polishing and finishing welds. We have openings on both 1st and 2nd shifts, with hours from 7 am to 3:30 pm and 3:30 pm to 11 pm, respectively, including overtime opportunities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensenville, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
