Server Assistant

Ramen Wasabi Logan Square is looking for server assistance who has flexible availability.
Server Assistant will be responsible for helping the Server as and when necessary. You will also be responsible for ensuring the tables are clean and tidy as well as running food, packing carry out orders, assist bartender and participating side works.

As a Server Assistant, you should be able to perform day-to-day clean-up activities of the dining room. You should also follow all the hygiene protocols and procedures. In addition to this, you should be able to stand for a long period of time.

Responsibilities:
Preparing the plates and napkins before serving the food.
Ensuring the server and togo station are well stocked with all the necessary items.
Arranging additional tables and chairs for a large group of guests.
Maintaining cleanliness in the service and dining areas.
Following all the hygiene standards and procedures.
Carrying all the dirty dishes and glasses to the dish wash area.
Clear table and make new setting for new guests.
Wash and polish glassware
Replacing new plates as and when requested by the guests.
Assisting Servers in delivering food to the table.
Performing additional duties as requested by the Servers or bartenders.
Reporting any complaints to the Manager or Lead.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Proven work experience as a Server Assistant, Server, or a related role in the Hospitality industry.
A mandatory Food Handler license.
Good knowledge of food handling practices.
Excellent communication skills especially verbal.
Ability to work in a paced environment.
Outstanding physical stamina.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to walk and stand for a long period of time.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to maintain good energy levels.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Maintain good personal hygiene and professional look and behavior.
Ability to offer excellent customer service. A keen eye for details for accuracy.
