Accounting Manager : Freeport, Illinois

Our customer in Freeport, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Accounting Managers to work full-time on 1st shift. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations and ensuring accurate, compliant accounting practices.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager :

• Perform bank reconciliations and manage AP/AR
• Oversee payroll processing with accuracy and compliance
• Handle insurance matters and IRA contributions
• Maintain financial records using QuickBooks Enterprise (preferred)
• Support administrative tasks and answer phones during peak hours
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations

Accounting Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (more preferred)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with payroll, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations
• Ability to handle insurance-related duties and IRA contributions
• Must pass an extensive background check
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise Version is a plus
• Strong communication and multitasking skills

Pay for Accounting Manager : Starting at $26-28/hour.
