Line Cook
Responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast and early lunch menu items in a fast-paced café environment. This role requires strong time management skills, attention to food quality, and the ability to work efficiently during busy morning hours. Perform various food preparation, cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons. Needs to execute daily cleaning duties and prep task.
Prepare and cook breakfast items such as eggs, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries.
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before opening
Follow recipes and presentation standards
Ensure food is prepared quickly and accurately during peak hours
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas
Monitor food inventory and communicate shortages to management
Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Assist with prep work for soups, salads, and lunch items as needed
Properly store food and label ingredients
Clean kitchen equipment, grills, and cooking surfaces after use
Previous cooking experience (café or breakfast experience preferred)
Knowledge of food safety standards
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong time management skills
Ability to stand for extended periods
Team player with good communication skills
Early morning availability (typically 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM shift)
Standing for long periods
Lifting up to 30–50 lbs
Working near hot surfaces and equipment
