About the Restaurant:
Porter Cullens is a bustling Irish pub and restaurant in Evergreen Park, known for its delicious and authentic Irish fare. We offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a focus on friendly service and high-quality food. Our menu features classic Irish dishes alongside seasonal specialties, ensuring something for everyone.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established standards, ensuring quality and consistent taste.
- Work within a designated station (grill, fry, salad, etc.) and master the assigned food preparation techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Assist with stocking inventory and maintaining prep work throughout the shift.
- Plate dishes according to presentation standards.
- Communicate effectively with fellow cooks, chefs, and servers to ensure a smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Clean and sanitize equipment at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant kitchen experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of safe food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for food and a willingness to learn
