JOB DESCRIPTION
- Marketplace Selections is seeking a Beer Sales Manager to serve as team leader of our sales team to help spread the love of Great Beer to the world as well as manager our top beer supplier partners. This person will need to be a skilled communicator, possess great time management skills, and be a creative force to work with a team to push forward a strategic marketing agenda in the dynamic beverage landscape. This position will work closely with all departments.
Responsibilities
Leads and supervises Area Beer Managers.
Manage reporting for all sales and distribution.
Develop and Execute Brand priorities in market
Ability to manage promotions, inventory, allocated products, new item introductions
Train, coach, and motivate sales force to deliver maximum impact in the market: primary focus on developing expertise of Craft Beer, Imported Specialty Beer, Cider and more.
On-going training and development of sales personnel through regularly scheduled in-field work with, market surveys and presentations at sales team meetings
Ensure all tools are in place to support attainment of goals and objectives.
Lead Sales Meetings, making sure direction is given and agreed to actions are completed
Meet regularly with Department Heads. Coordinate with management, team members, suppliers, and customers as needed
Exhibit discipline and resourcefulness to meet and exceed assigned monthly quotas and business objectives through innovative sales techniques. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all company wine, beer and spirits products.
Comprehend and operate under State laws, rules and regulations that pertain to alcohol sales.
Coordinate supplier market visits
Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual plans for key strategic accounts and sales territories as well as engage in relationship building activities with buyers for all strategic accounts.
Qualifications
Education
College degree or equivalent is preferred / High School Diploma required
Experience
* Three years' experience in the beer distribution and/or supplier community is preferred.
Three years' experience managing sales and/or brands is preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong Craft/Import Beer Knowledge
Exceptional ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects within deadlines
Exceptional communication skills including, but not limited to, written, spoken, presentation, interpersonal and rapport-building.
Excellent sales background with solid understanding of company selling procedures
Highly developed technical skills - proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) as well as Google Docs
Possess a thorough grasp of cost structures, supply chain logistics and margin management
Work flexible hours, evening and weekends. Available for occasional overnight travel.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000 per year starting, based on experience level + Bonus Opportunities
Schedule: Monday to Friday + Plus Some Weekend Days for Special Events or Holiday Schedule
