We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who is passionate about innovation, enjoys seeing projects from design to delivery, and values the chance to work directly with clients and senior leadership.

Overview In your role as Mechanical Design Engineer , innovation and collaboration will be key. You will design, develop, and implement engineering solutions to meet project requirements while working closely with cross-functional teams. This role calls for creativity, technical expertise, resourcefulness, and the ability to balance independent work with team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop engineering solutions that meet project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with technicians, project managers, and other engineers to ensure successful project completion.
- Conduct detailed engineering analyses and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and modeling to support the design and development process.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Partner with procurement and sourcing teams to select and evaluate materials, components, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the engineering process.
- Conduct testing and validation of solutions to ensure functionality, safety, and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians.
- Stay current on industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies to continuously improve engineering practices.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering with experience working with system integration or production equipment - conveyor design experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, methodologies, and techniques.
- Proficiency in engineering software, tools, and CAD programs (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Vault, iLogic, Smartsheets) - Inventor preferred.
- Proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or relevant certifications preferred.
Work Location
- This role is in-office and on-site at our Naperville IL office (near I-88, Diehl Rd, and Route 59) with a Monday through Friday schedule.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 annual salary (based on experience/qualifications)
