We're hiring a full-time W-2 Special Education Teacher (LBS1)  to provide K–12 school-based services  for the 2025–2026 school year . Whether you're an experienced special education teacher or new to the field, you’ll be supported by a team that understands the real challenges and joys of this work—and is here to help you thrive.

Position Details

• Classroom: Â High School
• Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• Hours:  37.5 – 40 hours/week
• Dates:  August 13, 2025 – May 21, 2026
• Location: Â Onsite in Illinois (hybrid may be possible for the right candidate)

Responsibilities

• Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance
• Adapt curriculum and materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Participate and lead IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
• Must be certified LBS1 for K-21
• Valid IL state teaching credential with appropriate Special Education endorsement
• Experience in school-based settings preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Passion for inclusive education and supporting all learners
