Job Title: Associate Credit Manager
Job Description
The Associate Credit Manager is responsible for underwriting and reviewing small business/commercial loans while providing daily guidance and support to a team of approximately five Credit Analysts. This role functions as a hands-on underwriting expert and knowledge lead, with light people leadership responsibilities. Formal people management experience is less critical than deep commercial underwriting expertise. The ideal candidate is a underwriter who can mentor, review work, and act as a resource to the team.
Responsibilities

Review and underwrite new and renewal small business/commercial loans.

Perform global cash flow analysis, DSCR calculations, and credit risk assessment.

Review loan packages prepared by Credit Analysts for accuracy, completeness, and policy adherence.

Approve loans within delegated authority and present credit decisions as needed.

Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to Credit Analysts.

Ensure adherence to underwriting standards, procedures, and service level agreements.

Partner with Relationship Managers to support customer needs and deal structuring.

Recommend workflow or process improvements as appropriate.
Essential Skills

5-7 years of commercial loan underwriting experience.

Strong knowledge of commercial lending, credit underwriting, and cash flow analysis.

Ability to independently underwrite and review complex loan files.

Strong communication skills and ability to explain underwriting decisions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher.
Work Environment
The position is fully onsite with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This role offers stability, career growth, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to play a key role in a collaborative small business lending team.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rosemont, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, bonus eligibility, tuition reimbursement, and additional wellness and banking benefits.
