The hotel housekeeping supervisor oversees daily cleaning operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet rigorous cleanliness and safety standards . They coordinate staff schedules, inspect room quality, manage supply inventories, and assist the housekeeping manager with training and guest requests.

This is a union position, Local 1.

$26.87 hourly

• Staff Management: Create daily work assignments, conduct shift briefings, and assist with training and mentoring new employees.
• Quality Inspections: Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces to ensure they align with hotel brand standards and sanitation regulations.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and room amenities, placing orders as needed.
• Guest Services: Respond promptly to special requests or complaints, and act as the liaison between the cleaning staff and the front desk.
• Maintenance Reporting: Identify and submit maintenance work orders for issues like broken fixtures, faulty appliances, or plumbing problems.
• Administrative Tasks: Update room statuses in hotel software, prepare discrepancy reports, and log lost-and-found items. [4]

• Leadership: Ability to motivate, coach, and resolve conflicts within the housekeeping team.
• Organization: Strong time management and multi-tasking skills to handle fast-paced hospitality environments.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and assist with physical cleaning tasks or heavy lifting when necessary.
• Problem-Solving: The ability to address guest complaints or staffing shortages quickly and professionally.
