ProLift Garage Doors seeks an experienced Garage Door Technician to perform service and repairs for the greater Chicagoland area, primarily Western suburbs. If you have prior experience working as a garage repair technician (residential or commercial) or have experience from a comparable position, please apply.

Position Overview
Our company is seeking a driven Technician to join our team. The role of the Garage Door Sales & Service Technician involves collaborating with customers and homeowners to offer effective solutions for repairing or replacing garage door systems and operators.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble garage door/garage door opener components and parts.
• Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate orders for replacement springs, sections, or slats.
• Ability to repair or replace worn or broken door parts.
• Disassemble the garage door and garage door opener for maintenance or repair purposes.
• Remove parts or components from the garage door and garage door opener.
• Install hardware or other interior fixtures as necessary.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed.
• Conduct tests on garage door and garage door opener equipment to verify proper functioning.
• Document all operational activities

Requirements:

• Excellent Sales/Customer Service/Technical Skills
• Must be able to perform heavy physical labor in all weather conditions
• Possess interpersonal skills to relate to customers and solve issues.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.
• Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening simultaneously.
• Ability to work a Flexible schedule (including evenings and weekends)
• Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be persuasive with customers when necessary.
• Ability to work on a scissor lift and tall ladders.
• Reliable and Self-Motivated.
• Own personal tools for garage doors and openers.

Compensation: $4,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month

Compensation: $48,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
