This individual will have a wide range of responsibilities as part of a team responsible for identifying risk in the Marketing universe and driving strategies to manage it. This person will also liaise with the enterprise-wide Legal, Compliance and Corporate Risk functions. This person will develop business-unit specific approaches and ensure accurate and timely implementation across all risk management disciplines and all areas in the Marketing organization. This individual will direct the business compliance and operational risk/control activities within marketing , which may include risk assessment, controls, procedure documentation, process design, control workflow/systems, reporting, testing, remediation , and thir d- party management. This includes education and training for business partners to ensure compliance with , and implementation of , all U.S. federal and state rules, regulations , and regulatory trends. This individual will evaluate current operations across all Marketing business units to identify areas for enhancements and work with business partners to implement these processes. It will be this person's responsibility to understand how legal, technology , and business process changes are implem ented within each business unit and evaluate potential impacts. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. Responsibilities Risk and Control Management Provide s education and monitor s Marketing employees on the requirements of company policies and standards related to risk and control ownership, the development and execution of new products and services , and control testing . Develops and implements job aids and tools to facilitate efficient completion of policy and standard requirements . Ensure s effective identification and implementation of controls to manage operational, financial , and compliance risks . Act s as subject matter expert on efficient processes to maintain an accurate library of Marketing's risks and controls. M anage s independent post-launch oversight of initiatives and report results to Marketing executive management . Oversee s timely completion of control design reviews and compliance risk assessments . M onitor s the risk and control environ ment for weaknesses and identifies solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of controls . Oversee s timely completion of annual control testing (BUTM) plan . Risk Analysis and Reporting Provides education and monitor s Marketing employees on the requirements of company policies and standards related to Risk Reporting, Operational Risk Events, Root Cause Analysis, Consumer Complaints , and Issues Management . Oversee s the development and implementation of job aids and tools to facilitate efficient completion of policy and standard requirements . Manage s timely , accurate creation and distribution of OREs, complaints data , and monthly risk reports; discuss es results with DFS Senior Leadership . Oversee s timely completion of consumer remediation projects . Ensure s a detailed escalation plan is in place for risk issues and leveraged when necessary . Oversight Assist s Senior Manager or Director with oversight of larger team via periodic coaching and review of work for employees . P roject Management Complete s complex projects in the areas of Exam Management, Control Workflow and Standardization Solutions, Business Continuity Planning, Corporate and Departmental Continuous Improvement . Develop s , implement s, and administer s control standardization and workflow solutions . Develop s continuous monitoring exception reports for critical business processes . Minimum Qualifications At a minimum, here's what we need from you: Bachelor's Degree in Business , Marketing , or related field 6+ years of experience in Financial S ervices, Marketing, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations , Vendor Management areas , or related field In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Financial S ervices, Marketing, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations , Vendor Management areas , or related field Compensation: The base pay for this position generally ranges between $86,500.00 to $145,700.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
