Legal Assistant
Title: Legal Assistant (Chicago, IL)

- Open to someone that may want to grow into a larger position such as a paralegal
- Transcribe, dictation
- Clean up- formatting, checking for errors, familiar with legal citation, etc.
- E-filing with courts
- Prepare service copies
- Taking work from the attorney, putting into presentable manner, and editing
- Someone who can take initiative
- Employment firm experience - not necessary but always helpful
- Someone collaborative
Required Experience:
- Prior experience as a legal assistant at a law firm
Makeup of the Team:
- 1 paralegal – fully remote
- 10 attorneys
- No specific attorney delegation- work with everyone within the office
Start Date : Week of June 8
Duration :
- Contract to hire
- 6-month contract and then conversion
Hours weekly:
- 9-5PM
- 1-hour unpaid lunch
