Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state (required for all ER nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) – required for healthcare professionals
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to excel in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department
• Perform triage, rapid assessment, and intervention for acute medical emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency procedures as ordered
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and progress
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and ongoing care needs
