Aircraft Technician Lead

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Technician to perform line maintenance at ORD for major carriers, with a focus on Airbuses for Frontier. The role involves both scheduled and on-call maintenance, ensuring aircrafts are safe and airworthy, and returning them to service in compliance with regulations.

• Perform line maintenance on various customers' aircraft, both on-call and scheduled.
• Conduct routine maintenance and airworthiness releases within the scope of approval.
• Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and components, meeting deadlines and performance goals.
• Troubleshoot systems and repair, disassemble, and reassemble sections and components.
• Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FARs and manufacturer manuals.
• Document all work performed accurately.
• Communicate and collaborate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center.
• Lead a team of 3-5 A&Ps, balancing hands-on work with administrative tasks.

• A&P License
• Driver's License
• Customer service skills
• Ownership of tools (tool list provided)
• 2-3 years of experience as an A&P

• Line maintenance experience
• Experience with Airbus aircraft
• A320 training
• Previous lead experience

Work mainly outside, with a vehicle provided for travel between aircraft. Office facilities are located just outside the airport for training purposes. Initial training will be team-based, leading to independent work. Night shifts are available, Sunday-Wednesday from 11:00pm to 9:30am CST or Thursday-Saturday from 8:00pm to 9:30am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rosemont, IL.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
