We are seeking a proactive and organized Customer Care Representative to join our team at the Elgin, IL facility . This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SAP, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include providing timely updates to customers on priority orders, reporting daily delivery commitments to Center Management, and maintaining clear communication with Sales representatives regarding customer activity. This position is critical to ensuring smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities:

• Answering phone calls, emails and returning all inquiries
• Daily interaction with customers
• Research, data collection, data entry, and analysis
• Providing proactive notification of late deliveries
• Coordinate van pick up schedules
• Work with Center Management on:

• Customer commitments
• Coating schedule
• WIP Report
• Priority orders
• Other duties as assigned

Your Profile:

• Attention to detail
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to learn
• Able to communicate effectively with open, honest, and respectfully written and verbal communication
• Create and sustain positive working relationships with peers, managers, and customers
• 2 years of Customer Service experience preferred
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office software
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus

Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $27.00 to $30.00 per hour. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
