Forklift Operator

Staffmax is assisting our client in hiring a certified Forklift Operator for a 6-month contract night shift. This is a great opportunity for skilled forklift drivers looking for stable, long-term work with a reputable organization.

Contract Length: 6 Months
Location: Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities

· Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, or dockstocker depending on site)

· Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently

· Move inventory throughout warehouse or production areas

· Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues

· Follow warehouse procedures and maintain accurate documentation

· Support shipping, receiving, and inventory control teams

Requirements

· Valid forklift certification (in-class and practical)

· 1+ year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production setting

· Strong safety awareness and ability to follow instructions

· Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs as needed

· Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
