This role is r esponsible for managing the daily coordination of import and export activities for seed and non-seed (chemical, specialized, research) items entering or exiting the US. Ensure all operations comply with customs and regulatory requirements while supporting customer and production demands. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient global trade flow and supporting both domestic and international operations.
Job Description
- Perform import/export activities in compliance with government rules and regulations, organizational policies, procedures, goals, and objectives with minimal supervision.
- Expedite the import/export process by liaising with regional import/export coordinators, warehousing/distribution, and plant & production planning.
- Coordinate logistics for import/export shipments (ocean, air, land, rail) while working closely with freight forwarders, brokers, transportation contract managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and compliant manner, adhering to internal policies and government regulations.
- Verify all documentation is accurate and compliant with US and foreign customer requirements.
- Audit team members’ files to ensure they are maintained in audit-ready status and be prepared to participate in internal or external (USCBP/EPA) audits.
- Accurately and promptly process all orders for assigned countries and/or product portfolios.
- Stay current on applicable import/export regulations through formal training and self-guided initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and train team members and stakeholders on standard operating procedures (SOPs) associated with assigned portfolios.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, across divisions, and internationally to identify and implement best practices and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
- Act as the key contact for foreign partners/customers.
- Conduct import/export operations process training as required.
- Handle complex global trade accounts/trade lanes.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to APHIS, Customs and Border Protection, USDA, and other government agencies.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned business units.
- Maintain a good understanding of the company’s product portfolio and production processes.
- Perform other duties and participate in projects as needed.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
Skills Required
- 3+ years of experience in Business, Supply Chain, International Commerce, or a related field preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong working knowledge of data systems (e.g., MS Office Suite, ACE, SAP, GTS, Amber Road, OneSource).
- Excellent analytical and project/deadline management skills.
- Knowledgeable in import/export, trade & compliance, and shipping/logistics.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours when necessary.
- Experience with agricultural and/or chemical products preferred.
- Must remain current with import/export regulations and compliance requirements.
Education/Training/Certifications
- BA/BS degree preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Shift: 8:00 AM
- Work hours are flexible with the expectation of 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week (T–W–Th onsite and M–F remote).

Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary : $26.70 to $34.70 per hour based on qualifications.
