The Laboratory Clinical Coordinator (Coordinator) will provide laboratory leadership and direction to the clinical laboratory staff. Working in conjunction with the Laboratory Administrative Director and the Laboratory Coordinator, the coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations, staffing and clinical procedures for Graham Health System laboratory services. Ensures laboratory staff provide the maximum level of service to patients and hospital staff to ensure that patients’ laboratory needs are effectively met. In conjunction with the Laboratory Medical Director, the coordinator is responsible for clinical services, lab products and ensuring the laboratory’s accreditation standards are continually achieved. This position requires a great deal of organizational skill, innovation, independence, creativity and flexibility for decision making and problem solving. The coordinator is accountable to the Laboratory Medical Director and reports to the Administrative Laboratory Director.

Position Qualifications

Completion of a medical laboratory training program and at least five years of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.

ASCP Board of Certification (BOC): primary source verification for all BOC credentials.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Five years’ experience as a high-complexity laboratory preferred
