Cashier / Front of House & Packing AssociateJob Summary
We are seeking a fast, reliable, and hardworking Cashier / Front of House & Packing Associate to join our team. This position requires someone who can move quickly, answer and take orders, pack items accurately, and work well during busy hours.
Applicants must have at least 1 year of cashier or front-of-house experience . Experience with Japanese cuisine, especially sushi , is required. Speaking Korean or Japanese is a plus.
This position pays $20 per hour and requires 10-hour shifts , totaling $200 per day .
Responsibilities
Answer phone orders and take customer orders accurately
Find orders, check order status, and complete orders quickly
Pack food items carefully, neatly, and correctly
Move fast and stay organized during busy periods
Process payments using a cash register, POS system, cash, or Chase QuickPay
Relay orders clearly to the kitchen
Assist customers with basic menu and order questions
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors
Help clean and sanitize work areas according to health regulations
Complete additional tasks requested by the manager
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of cashier, front-of-house, or restaurant experience required
Must be quick, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be comfortable answering phone orders and handling customer orders
Must be able to pack items accurately and quickly
Familiarity with Japanese cuisine, especially sushi
Basic math skills for handling payments
Familiarity with cash handling procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize during busy hours
Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow health and safety standards
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Korean or Japanese language skills are a plus.
Compensation
$18-20 per hour
10-hour shifts
$200 per day
