Travel RN Job Details – Acute Rehab Unit

• Location: Peoria, IL 61605 (Illinois travel nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Rehab Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (locum tenens)
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• End Date: January 12, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), rotating weekends and holidays
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (post-orientation)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130 - $2190

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or Michigan (Illinois RN jobs preferred)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an acute rehab or rehabilitation nursing environment
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and basic Microsoft Office applications preferred
• Ability to pass a drug screen (OSF is a drug-free campus)

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with best practice standards and Illinois state board of nursing regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Assess and address patients’ physical and psychological needs, providing compassionate care to patients and families
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in electronic medical records
• Mentor and support fellow nurses and participate in orientation of new staff
• Promote a safe, clean, and service-oriented healthcare environment
• Participate in quality improvement and process improvement initiatives
• Advocate for patients and caregivers to ensure effective, value-driven nursing care
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to protect patients and staff
