Dimensional Inspection Specialist - Metrology & CMM
Step into a day on our inspection floor
From first-part approval to final shipment checks, you’ll be the person who confirms that every manufactured component meets print. You’ll move between benches and the lab, verifying critical dimensions, recording results, and partnering with production to keep quality at the forefront.
What you’ll do
- Perform thorough dimensional and visual inspections on manufactured parts throughout the build process
- Use precision tools daily: calipers, micrometers, optical/profile projector, surface roughness and hardness testers
- Verify threads with ring and plug GO / NO-GO gauges
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine inspection criteria
- Capture results and maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Support problem-solving and continuous improvement activities when issues arise
- Leverage or learn CMM techniques as needed for complex features (exposure a plus)
What sets you up for success
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Inspector
- Proven skill using precision measuring tools in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Strong ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Background in manufacturing (required)
