IT Business Partner F&S NA (Chicago)

Role Description
The IT Business Partner Food & Specialty North America (Director) is a newly established role aimed at optimizing the value of the IT portfolio for the Food & Specialty North America Business Unit (F&S NA). The IT Business Partner collaborates closely with BU F&S NA leadership to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize IT demands, and deliver technology-enabled initiatives. This role works with the global IT Centers of Excellence and local IT teams to implement initiatives and contribute to technology roadmaps managed by the Global IT Centers of Excellence.
The IT Business Partner reports to the CIO with a dotted line to the Finance Director. They are part of the Global IT Leadership Team and BU Management Team, leading a team of five IT representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure BU stakeholders are informed and aligned with IT portfolios and roadmaps, and aware of key Enterprise Architecture principles. Also, keep Global IT stakeholders informed about BU challenges and priorities.
- Business Alignment & Portfolio Management: Understand BU strategies and challenges, translating them into IT initiatives. Drive prioritization and implementation of relevant IT initiatives and roadmaps with BU leaders and Global IT Centers of Excellence. Collaborate to embed BU priorities into IT roadmaps.
- IT Value Creation: Coordinate delivery of IT and technology initiatives, ensuring BU-specific requirements are met and business cases are realized. Identify opportunities where technology can generate business value.
- Escalation Point: Serve as the escalation point for major IT incidents, operational issues, or IT delivery performance issues within the BU.

Requirements for the Job
Education & Training: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's in Business Information Management or Business Technology Management preferred. Relevant leadership training is also desirable.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a business relationship role within IT, with at least 3 years in leadership. Experience with Business IT Demand Management, stakeholder engagement, ERP, MES, and Analytics. Proven track record of driving initiatives from conception to completion. Experience managing distributed teams across multiple countries, and managing business change activities or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
