Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate isolated recovery environments and clean room infrastructure
• Execute recovery procedures during drills and full-scale recovery testing scenarios
• Document test procedures, results, and any deviations from expected outcomes
• Perform daily operational tasks on backup and replication platforms while monitoring job health
• Configure and validate backup policies, retention schedules, and replication targets
• Test restore procedures for servers, databases, and applications while recording RTO/RPO outcomes
• Prepare evidence packages and control narratives for regulatory audits and examinations
• Execute scripted automation tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Participate in walkthroughs with regulators and internal audit teams
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and database teams on system dependencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Experience in infrastructure engineering, IT operations, or security-adjacent technical roles
• Background in financial institutions or similarly regulated environments (healthcare, utilities, government)
• Hands-on experience with disaster recovery or backup operations including DR tests and restore procedures
• Proficiency with enterprise backup platforms such as Cohesity, Rubrik, Veeam, Zerto, Commvault, or NetBackup
• Scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, firewall rules, DNS, and routing
• Strong documentation practices for technical procedures and test records
• Awareness of regulatory frameworks such as FFIEC, NIST CSF, or NYDFS
• Preferred: Certifications including CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or cloud fundamentals
• Preferred: Experience with IaC tooling, ITSM workflows, or cyber incident response exercises
