Optometrist - Thursday Coverage

GENERAL FUNCTION:

We are seeking a Part Time Optometrist to join the team at our locally owned and operated Pearle Vision franchise. Our current Thursday doctor will be leaving at the end of October. We are looking for a new doctor to work on Thursdays from 9am to 6pm. We are located just north of Lawrence on North Clark St. We opened a brand new location in March 2019 and have grown quickly in the past six years.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Conduct eye exams using optometric equipment including a Topcon CV-5000S digital phoropter and general diagnostic interpretation. * Diagnose and treat ocular disease. * Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids. * Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options. * Answer questions and provide advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues. * Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions. * Direct staff and assist in the development of the overall practice. * Record results of visits in electronic charts (Crystal PM).

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

* Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditions * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to maintain patient confidentiality * General computer proficiency * Demonstrated problem solving skills and multitasking ability

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program * Active state optometry license * Valid CPR certificate You should consider us for your next place of employment.
