What You'll Do:
- Prepare and cook a variety of foods according to planned menus and dietary requirements
- Operate kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- Assist with food storage, inventory, and support special functions
- Collaborate with the dining services team to ensure quality and customer-focused service
- Adapt to changing needs while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment
What You'll Need:
- High school graduate or equivalent (required)
- Active ServeSafe/Food Safety Manager Certification (required)
- Must be 18 years or older to operate potentially hazardous equipment (required)
- 2 years institutional cooking experience in long-term care or assisted living (required)
- Preferred: experience in both institutional cooking and fine dining
