You as National Road Logistics Operations Controlling & Invoicing Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end invoicing operations for assigned Cloud customers, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant revenue capture. This role leads a specialized invoicing team, serves as the primary escalation point for complex billing issues, and partners closely with Operations, Pricing, Audit, and IT to maintain invoice integrity and meet strict Cloud customer requirements.
How you create impact

Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of customers, including complex freight charges (spot rates, fuel surcharges, documentation fees)

Review and verify vendor (carrier) invoices for accuracy against agreed rates, purchase orders (POs), and proof of delivery (PODs), ensuring "three-way matching

Prepare monthly accruals (estimated costs) to ensure accurate financial reporting and monitor financial variances

Resolve billing disputes with carriers and internal commercial teams, ensuring prompt payment or adjustment

Oversee accurate and timely invoice generation in accordance with customer contracts, rate agreements, and Cloud specific billing requirements

Ensure compliance with customer EDI, format, audit, and documentation standards

Monitor invoicing queues, aging, and exception reports to proactively resolve issues impacting revenue recognition

Partner with Audit and Revenue Care team to address failed audits, rejected invoices, and compliance gaps

Identify root causes of invoicing defects, rework, and delays; lead corrective and preventive actions

Collaborate with IT, TMS/TransSend, EDI, and downstream finance teams to resolve systemic issues

Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Cloud invoicing processes

Track and report on invoicing KPIs such as timeliness, accuracy, rework rates, and customer rejections

Support audits and management reviews with clear data, analysis, and documentation
What we would like you to bring

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of experience in invoicing, revenue accounting, billing operations, or shared services

Strong understanding of customer specific billing requirements, ideally within Cloud or high tech logistics environments

Experience with TMS, invoicing, audit, or EDI platforms (e.g., TransSend, ACON, or similar systems)

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and root causes

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
