About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - ICU experience - Willingness to float to Medical Surgical units - Extensive Cardiac experience - Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units. Candidates must have experience in the ICU and be willing to float to Medical Surgical units if needed. Extensive experience in Cardiac care is required. The candidate must possess a current nursing license and have certifications in CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS. Graduation from an accredited nursing program is necessary, and education verification will be conducted. The Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing techniques, policies, procedural standards of care, and state laws. Documentation according to standards of care is required. The RN will develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by the physician and following hospital policies, including patient and family instruction. Participation in performance improvement activities within the department or unit may be included. Clinical expertise may be utilized to provide guidance to other units or departments in support of the patient's longitudinal care plan. Critical thinking skills are essential for ensuring patient safety and enhancing the patient experience, with appropriate escalation to the chain of command as needed. Holiday coverage will be required.
