Junior High Teacher
Junior High Teacher (Grades 6–8)
Holy Family Catholic School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Junior High Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This position includes teaching two subject areas in grades 6–8 (specific assignments will be determined based on candidate strengths and school needs), along with serving as a homeroom teacher. We are looking for a teacher who can build strong relationships, maintain clear expectations, and contribute positively to a collaborative school culture rooted in Catholic values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction in assigned subject areas
- Create a structured, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Serve as a homeroom teacher and support student development
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to support school-wide goals
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
- Uphold the mission and values of Holy Family Catholic School
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois teaching license (or working toward licensure)
- Middle school (grades 6–8) endorsement preferred
Position Details:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- School hours: 7:30 AM – 3:15 PM
- Teaching assignment determined based on candidate strengths
Pay Range:
- $34,000 to 73,000 based on educational level and experience.
