Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalist;Internal Medicine
Description
This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a vibrant medical environment while providing patient-centered care.
As a Locum Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care within our facility, ensuring that our patients receive comprehensive and compassionate treatment. You will work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team to address patient needs while adhering to the highest standards of medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists for optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in daily rounds and case discussions
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Manage patient admissions, discharges, and follow-up care
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatments
- Stay updated on current medical practices and guidelines
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Associate-level experience as a Hospitalist or in a similar role
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Illinois
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
Schedule: 24-hour call coverage
Daily Volume: 3-5 patients
Support Staff: RNs, Techs, Lab, and MAs
Must be board-certified
Paid travel and expenses
