Job Title: CNC Milling Machinist
Location: Rockford, IL area
Job Type and Duration: Direct hire
Pay range: 25-34/HR (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday- Thursday 6am-4:30pm.
Possible OT on Friday's until 11am
Job description
- Set up, Program and Run Mazak CNC milling machine centers.
- Understand and select correct tooling.
- Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications.
- Ensure the CNC Machine is operating at the highest level of productivity and quality appropriate to the assigned project.
- Experience with, or knowledge of, programming to make program changes and/or create programs
- Review and maintain set up sheets and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence and dimensions.
- Assemble cutting tools in tool holders and position in magazine as needed to machine parts.
- Measure work piece for conformance to specification using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicator and gages.
- Adjust machine speeds and feeds and change cutters to machine parts efficiently.
- Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
