The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Sr. C&I Lender role located in the Chicago, IL area. The successful candidate will make and service a variety of C&I loans. The candidate will also assist senior officers in handling larger and more complicated loans and provide other customer services as may be required.

The opportunity has a generous salary of up to $180K+ incentives and a benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Sr. C&I Lender responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing commercial loan accounts that meet established lending requirements and provide maximum profitability to the Bank at minimum risk.
• Collecting and analyzing information that reflects the current creditworthiness of customers and the current merits of existing loans.
• Reviews and analyzes title report or survey to determine issues and any present or potential risk.
• Analyzing applicant financial status, credit and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submits application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation.
• Meeting with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
• Guiding loans through the approval and closing process.
• Explaining, promoting, cross-selling or referring bank, insurance and trust products or services.
• Representing the Bank in the community through professional and civic involvement is critically important to this role.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10 years as a C&I Lender required
• $15MM – $20MM in loans or deposits (annually)
• Computer skills required: (Accounting Software; Contract Management Systems; Development Software; Human Resource Systems; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems; Project Management Software.
