Loan Origination Specialist III
:
As a Loan Origination Specialist III on the Document Preparation (Doc Prep) Team, you will be responsible for performing due diligence through organizational, collateral and lien search information as well as creating legal documentation for new, renewed and modified bilateral commercial loan products for Middle Market. The team partners with internal legal on document customization as required. Key systems used within Doc Prep are Aurora, HotDocs and related third party sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret, understand, review, and prepare commercial loan documents, process transactions as approved, and ensure adherence to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Process with high levels of accuracy and urgency to ensure transactions do not lead to financial losses or risk events
- Ensure all Service Levels for quantity and quality are met and any exceptions are immediately escalated for resolution
- Perform entity, collateral due diligence to comply with regulatory requirements
- Comply with audit and compliance regulations for internal and external audits
- Analyze the process flow and suggest improvements to eliminate redundant steps through effective value stream mapping
- Be an effective team player, leading and participating in various engagement activities not just limited to the process
- Ensure all controls and JP Morgan requirements are adhered to at all times, and any risk items are escalated immediately
- Maintain high levels of engagement with the Lenders, Credit Executives/Underwriters, Client Service Executives and Bankers
- Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the process and understand the upstream and downstream process
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 1+ year of commercial loan documentation, collateral perfection, Loan Operations, or banking/lending experience
- Strong verbal & written communication to effectively communicate with various stakeholders across the firm
- Manage complex requests with minimum supervision and independently make the decisions related to the process
- Ability to manage concurrent assignments and multi-task in an effective, efficient, and organized manner
- Ability to consistently maintain high performance levels in stressful situations and high-volume peaks
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Strong problem solving skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to the process
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
- Knowledge of Entity Organizational Documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
