: Senior Staff Accountant The Senior Staff Accountant will report directly to Accounting Manager. The critical work objectives are to manage all financial accounting/operations, grants administration, policies, and procedures of the organization. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service. Success requires effective crossfunctional management with members of other departments. The Staff Accountant will also be a leader in projects which requires high level Excel skills, strong ability to train other nonfinancial staff Responsibilities: - Manage all general ledger and subsidiary journals, including cash and credit card receipts, cash disbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue releases, payroll accounts, cash flow forecasting, grants administration and reporting
- Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable on a monthly basis
- Manage the Concur Expense Management system that includes credit cards, employee expense reimbursement and invoice processing.
- Process general ledger transactions and post entries
- Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts monthly
- Manage all annual reporting requirements
- Assist in the annual budgeting process
- Assist with strategic budgets for long/short term planning for the organization
- Assist with financial models and other projects as needed
- Assists in the annual financial and any other audits as required
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Ad hoc reports and analytics that support the Accounting Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or business
- Nonprofit experience and grants management preferred but not required
- Very strong skills in Excel, graphs, Power BI, statistical analyses and financial planning and analyses
- Strong problem-solving qualities, thorough work quality and ethic
- Must be willing to accept challenges, adaptable to change, enthusiastic and be motivated to work in a culturally diverse workplace
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a fastpaced environment
- Working knowledge of Concur and Sage Intacct system is preferred
- Teamplayer with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
