Job Title: Lab Technician 2 – Packaging Engineering

Location: Vernon Hills, IL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.75
Employment Type: On-site

Reporting to a supervisor or manager, the Lab Technician 2 (Packaging Engineering) supports daily test lab activities, equipment qualification, test method validation (TMV) development, and lab engineering projects. This role involves performing bench-level engineering tests for design verification (DV), stability, feasibility, and test method development (TMD), while working under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute moderately complex test requests with minimal assistance.

· Handle minimally complex problems autonomously with minimal supervisor guidance.

· Support equipment qualification (IQ, OQ) and TMV development.

· Troubleshoot inconsistencies in test needs/requests with requestors.

· Maintain good documentation practice (GDP) and support compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

· Support test method development (TMD) and Verification/Validation (Ver/Val) teams.

· Develop proficiency in lab functions, including:

o Environmental chamber supervision

o Aging program coordination

o Equipment maintenance and calibration coordination

o Test procedure maintenance

o Tool and fixture design

o Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) representation

· Proactively complete minimally complex projects with minimal oversight.

· Support efforts to create tools for process simplification in lab operations.

Qualifications / Education:

· Education and licenses: Verify with a recruiter or staffing manager.

· Demonstrated technical skills in laboratory procedures and equipment preferred.
