Accounting Specialist

LaSalle Network is hiring an Accounting Specialist for a growing organization in Skokie, IL. This Accounting Specialist opportunity is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience supporting financial operations while gaining exposure to reporting, reconciliations and process improvements.

The Accounting Specialist will work cross-functionally with internal teams and offshore partners to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth day-to-day accounting operations. If you are a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and working in a collaborative environment, this role offers strong visibility and room for growth.

What will I do as the Accounting Specialist?

• Reconcile cash receipts from bank activity to ERP systems

• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end support

• Support working capital and financial reporting initiatives

• Provide issue resolution and coordination with offshore teams

• Submit new customer and vendor requests and obtain Euler credit ratings

• Assist with compliance and financial reporting processes

• Support credit and collections reporting activities

• Identify opportunities for accounting process improvements

• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance requests

What’s needed to be successful as an Accounting Specialist?

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

• 1+ year of relevant accounting or finance experience

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ERP system experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

• Results-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail
