Job description
We are seeking a skilled Tax Manager to join our team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and optimizing tax strategies for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage our tax team, including training and mentoring tax staff.
- Research, develop, and implement tax planning strategies to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Review federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Provide clients with guidance on the tax implications of business decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather necessary financial information for tax reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to maintain compliance and optimize tax strategies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven experience in managing staff and tax engagements.
- Familiarity with Lacerte software is a plus.
