Development & Marketing Associate

Position Overview
The Development and Marketing Associate will play an integral role in supporting the organization’s fundraising and marketing, and initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Development, this position contributes to donor engagement, event management, and brand communications. The successful candidate will possess a balance of creativity, strategic thinking, and organizational acumen to advance the organization’s visibility and philanthropic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Development Support
● Assist the Director of Development with the implementation of annual fundraising campaigns, events, donor communications, and stewardship activities.
● Support the planning, coordination, and execution of special events, including golf outings, community engagement initiatives, and donor cultivation events.
● Manage event logistics such as vendor relations, sponsorship tracking, volunteer coordination, and guest communications.
● All other duties as assigned.
Marketing and Communications
● Assist in development and implementation of comprehensive social media and digital marketing strategies to promote programs, events, and organizational impact.
● Design and produce marketing materials, including newsletters, brochures, flyers, and digital graphics, consistent with brand guidelines.
● Coordinate newsletter updates and assist with the creation of compelling content for email marketing campaigns and press releases.
● Monitor marketing performance metrics and provide recommendations for improved engagement and outreach.
● All other duties as assigned.
Administrative and Collaborative Responsibilities
● Provide administrative support for development operations, including correspondence, acknowledgments, and recordkeeping.
● Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure cohesive messaging and effective promotion of organizational initiatives.

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred, but not required.
● Minimum of 1–3 years of professional experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or event planning; nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
● Demonstrated proficiency in social media management and digital marketing platforms.
● Strong graphic design capabilities; experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
● Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
● Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
● Commitment to the mission and values of CTF Illinois and to advancing inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Compensation and Benefits
● Salary Range: $50,000–$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
● Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement contributions.
