Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1890–$1940
• On-Call: Yes, as needed
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Scrub Color: Any solid color
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Parking: Free with permit

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) experience (18 months preferred)
• Active ARRT certification required
• Active Illinois state Radiology license (must be in hand at submission)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross only)
• Experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Room (ER), ICU, NICU, and Operating Room (OR) settings
• Proficiency in abdomen, chest, head, spine, pelvis, and extremity X-ray procedures
• Experience with O-ARM and C-Arm imaging equipment
• Level I Trauma and Cerner charting experience preferred
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment
• Willingness to float within scope as needed

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic X-ray procedures for neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
• Operate advanced imaging equipment including O-ARM and C-Arm for surgical and portable procedures
• Conduct X-rays for abdomen (decubitus, supine/KUB, upright), chest (AP, lateral decubitus, routine, upper airway), head (facial bones, orbits, paranasal sinuses, skull, TMJ), spine and pelvis (cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sacrum/coccyx, pelvis, hip), and extremities (ankle, femur, foot, knee, tibia-fibula, clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, scapula, shoulder, wrist, trauma shoulder/humerus)
• Work in multiple hospital settings including Emergency Department (ED)/Trauma, Operating Room (OR), ICU, general inpatient, outpatient, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging
• Participate in on-call rotation and work weekends/holidays as scheduled
• Accurately document all procedures in Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and radiology best practices
