Job Description: The C.N.A. functions as an assistant to the nurses in the ED. The C.N.A. is responsible for ADL’s and tasks as assigned by the nursing staff. He/she is required to be able to lift patients with using appropriate body mechanics, to collect data about patients, and to utilize the computer to document appropriate care completed. Functions as a team member offering suggestions for improvements and listening to requests. Works with others to determine priorities for patient care. (Is polite, positive and flexible.) Access to protected health information is limited to the minimum necessary to perform the duties of the job.

BLS certification is required.
