Job Title: Retail Copywriter

Location: Bolingbrook, IL (Hybrid – approximately 6 onsite days per month)

Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Retail Copywriter to deliver strong, consistent copy that reflects and elevates brand voice across multiple digital channels. This role partners closely with a collaborative copy and design team to develop compelling content for email, mobile push notifications, and landing pages.

The ideal candidate understands how tone and language shift by audience and platform and can adapt quickly. They enjoy writing short, engaging copy that drives action while communicating beauty and lifestyle concepts in fun, relevant, and relatable ways. A strong awareness of culture, trends, and evolving editorial voices is essential.

This role is best suited for a self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners and managing multiple workstreams under the guidance of a digital copy manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply established brand voice and identity consistently across all assignments

• Develop on-brand copy that supports a cohesive, omni-channel customer experience

• Collaborate in editorial brainstorms and respond to ad-hoc requests with creative ideas

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards

• Deliver copy efficiently with strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Partner closely with design teams to ensure continuity across digital touchpoints

• Stay current on cultural trends, lifestyle influences, design systems, and editorial best practices

• Adapt to evolving business needs in support of overall brand objectives

• Proactively seek information while knowing when to escalate questions or request guidance

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional copywriting experience

• Comfort using Generative AI tools to support creative workflows

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail with creative problem-solving abilities

• Strategic, critical, and creative thinker

• Self-motivated, action-oriented, and able to manage priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agency, retail, beauty, or editorial copywriting environments
