Description:

The Dry Ice Blasting Operator of King Machine is responsible for performing precision cleaning of tire molds and mold components using dry ice blasting equipment. This role supports mold maintenance by ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned without causing damage to critical tooling, allowing for proper inspection and extending the service life of the molds.

* Experience in industrial cleaning or mold maintenance.

* Proficiency in dry ice blasting or similar media blasting techniques.

* Understanding of mold components and tire identification standards.

* Skilled in operating mechanical components and equipment relevant to industrial maintenance.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.

* Meticulous in following established procedures and able to perform tasks independently.

* Understanding of safety protocols for pressurized systems and CO2 handling.

* Knowledgeable with ISO 9001, 45001, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory standards.

* Operate dry ice blasting equipment to clean tire molds and components according to safety and quality standards.

* Prepare molds for cleaning, including disassembly and setup as required.

* Inspect molds before and after blasting to ensure cleanliness and identify potential defects or damage.

* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for blasting and cleaning.

* Maintain blasting equipment and ensure safe storage handling of dry ice material.

* Assist in preventive maintenance (PM) and minor repairs as needed

* Log all cleaning activities in maintenance or mold tracking system.

* Communicate any irregularities or mold damage to the mold repair or quality departments.

* Adhere to ISO 9001, 45001, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory standards.

* Maintain a clean and organized work area.

* In accordance with established Quality Procedures, adhere to the guidelines for Control Documents, Control of

Production, Monitoring & Measurement of Product, Corrective & Preventive Action, Risk Management, and Control of

Nonconforming Product.

* A High School Diploma and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

* Familiar with sandblasting or dry ice blasting process.

Preferred Skills:

*Knowledge of dry ice blasting procedures, equipment operations and maintenance.

* Understanding of the tire mold repair process.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

* Strong attention to detail to ensure precise sandblast cleaning and accurate tire mold repair.

* Familiarity with ISO 9001, 45001, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory standards.

Physical Requirements

*Ability to work in an industrial environment, including exposure to noise, heat, fumes, and machinery.

* Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting (put o 60 lbs), bending, and manual agility.

* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by facility standards.

* Must be able to pass a drug test.
