Overview

We are seeking a warm, engaging, and professional Natural‐Bearded Santa to join our holiday photo sessions and seasonal events. This role brings the magic of Christmas to life — interacting with guests, posing for photos, reading stories, welcoming families (and pets), and helping create joyful and memorable experiences.

Our holiday program includes: digital holiday photo booth sessions, “Breakfast with Santa,” “Storytime with Santa,” pet‐friendly nights, and seasonal walk‐in and booked photo sessions.

Responsibilities

• Portray Santa Claus in a warm, natural, authentic manner — with a real (natural) beard.
• Greet guests (children, families, couples, individuals, pets) with sincerity, warmth, and enthusiasm.
• Pose for photo sessions, provide two (2) digital poses per session (or as per studio’s package).
• Participate in supplemental events:

• “Breakfast with Santa”

• “Storytime with Santa”

• Pet Night with Santa (allowing people to bring their pets)

•Other events as determined per business needs

• Walk‐ins and scheduled sessions
• Read holiday stories aloud or assist with seasonal programming.
• Maintain character and stay in role during the event (Santa mannerisms, voice, interactions).
• Collaborate with the photography team to position guests, suggest props or cues, and facilitate smooth flow of sessions.
• Follow schedule strictly, manage transitions between families, and help keep the event on time.
• Ensure costume (Santa suit, accessories) and beard are clean, groomed, and presentable at all times.
• Assist with crowd management and basic guest flow control (directing guests, keeping line order).
• Occasionally interact in social media / promotional photos (behind-the-scenes, candid shots).
• Uphold safety, privacy, and professionalism (especially regarding children) at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must have a natural beard (well groomed, full, appropriate for Santa look).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage children and adults alike.
• Comfortable working in a studio or event environment (indoors).
• Able to remain in character (voice, posture, demeanor) consistently through interactions.
• Previous experience as Santa, actor, performer, or public-facing role is a plus.
• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism are essential.
• Ability to stand, pose, and physically interact for durations (photograph sessions may last across many back-to-back bookings).
• Comfortable around pets (dogs, cats, etc.).
• Basic understanding of photography workflows or cues is a plus but not strictly required.
• Background check clearance (especially to work with children) preferred/required.
• Must be comfortable in the Santa costume and accessories (some heat, layers).

Working Conditions & Schedule

• Seasonal position (typically November – December).
• Shift schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holiday dates.
• Walk-ins and scheduled bookings.
• Use of studio props, décor, and photography equipment (cooperating with the photography staff).

Compensation & Benefits

• $15-$16 Hourly wage + potential bonus.

• Possibility of repeat seasonal hire or booking for other events.
