OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Surety Systems Project Manager to transform our surety operations function through the strategic use of technology and process innovation. This role is pivotal in analyzing current operations, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement impactful solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between business units, IT, and external partners, ensuring that technology efforts align with business goals. This position reports to IT leadership and works closely with both internal stakeholders and surety carrier partners to enhance the value proposition of our technology platforms and ensure systems are delivering value to business units in the field

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Project Management efforts around integration of surety systems with new business units or existing business units not leveraging our optimal tech stack.
- Manage and prioritize support and development tickets.
- Document business and technical requirements for software development teams.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand needs and gather feedback.
- Analyze and document system or process defects, and propose actionable solutions.
- Conduct training sessions for business users on new software features and updates.
- Partner with IT to organize development work, facilitate communication, and track progress.
- Contribute to the design of new software platforms, features, and operational processes.
- Prepare and deliver project updates, system change communications, and process documentation.
- Help prioritize development work based on business needs and strategic goals.
- Lead daily stand-up meetings with the IT team and assist in managing project workflows.
- Provide technical support and subject matter expertise to business teams.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party tools, software, and vendors.
Requirements:
- Advanced technical proficiency and mastery of common business applications.
- Deep experience with surety bond software platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the surety industry.
- Creative and forward-thinking, with the ability to design and suggest process improvements.
- Expert-level understanding of the bond life cycle.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- 10+ years of experience in the surety industry.
- Project management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Leadership experience in cross-functional or technical teams.
- Advanced surety expertise, including underwriting, bond execution, and commercial surety nuances.
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
