Roanoke Hospitality is looking for welcoming, organized, and service-driven Hosts to join our team at The 101. We are hiring for our upcoming summer season and an exciting new re-concept coming soon.

About 101:

101 is a vibrant and refined dining destination, located near the Magnificent Mile. Our menu draws inspiration from the multicultural cuisines and rich culinary traditions of the Mediterranean, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. The space features views of Willis Tower, a stunning rooftop terrace, and an elegant 3-season patio.

101 includes the following spaces: Restaurant, 20th Floor, Rooftop, and private events

What You’ll Do:

As a Host , you are the first and last impression of the guest experience. Your responsibilities include:

• Greeting guests warmly and managing reservations and walk-ins with professionalism
• Managing the waitlist and providing accurate wait time estimates
• Escorting guests to their tables while maintaining an organized seating flow
• Communicating effectively with servers and management to ensure smooth service
• Answering phones, handling reservations, and responding to guest inquiries
• Maintaining a clean, welcoming, and organized host stand and entrance area
• Creating a positive and memorable first impression for every guest

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a guest-first mindset
• Ability to stay composed and efficient in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for 5–10 hours per shift
• Ability to move throughout the restaurant and assist guests as needed
• Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, including variable temperatures
• Tolerate higher noise levels in a busy dining environment
